Connecticut Skin Institute is honored to currently be the ONLY office in Connecticut to offer Ellacor. We were the 3rd practice in the World to receive this revolutionary technology.
Ellacor by Cytrellis is a minimally invasive new device that was cleared by the US Food and Drug administration (FDA) for the treatment of moderate to severe wrinkles in the mid to lower face. Ellacor takes advantage of the scientific concept of Micro-Coring which removes extremely tiny columns of tissue that heal without any visible scarring. Thousands of micro-cores can be removed in a treatment session allowing one to tighten skin in a similar fashion to a face-lift, but without the surgery and the risk of general anesthesia.
Ellacor was developed by Harvard Medical School dermatologist Dr. Rox R. Anderson and plastic surgeon William G. Austen. The technology required several years of development in the laboratory and then vigorous human clinical trials to receive FDA clearance. It is now a safe and effective alternative to a face-lift that is available to patients of Dr. Omar A. Ibrahimi at the Connecticut Skin Institute. Dr. Ibrahimi was personally selected by Cytrellis as one of 25 world renown physicians that are key opinion leaders and trusted by the company to launch this paradigm shifting technology. In the northeast USA we are one of 4 only sites that has the technology (Harvard Medical School, and two sites in New York City).
