We will do our best to meet your goals. We ask that if you’re interested in a particular Laser/Cosmetic procedure, to schedule a consultation with Dr. Omar Ibrahimi to discuss your goals and concerns. While often you will know exactly what it is that you want, we sometimes find that there are instances in which your particular concern would be better addressed by a different Laser/Cosmetic procedure than the one you had in mind or read about. We also want to make sure you’re an appropriate candidate for the procedure. We are not interested in functioning like a Medical Spa where the emphasis is generally on volume, but instead we seek to provide the high quality delivery of Laser and Cosmetic Procedures by a world-class physician who has not only spent years perfecting his technique but teaches other physicians and writes the book chapters for the procedures he performs. We also own several lasers in our suite so you can be assured that we will select the best laser for your particular issue, rather than using the one-size-fits-all approach most other medical offices and spas have when it comes to laser technology.
Dr. Omar Ibrahimi is a board-certified dermatologist with advanced fellowship training in Laser and Cosmetic Procedures. He has served as the Director of Laser and Cosmetic Surgery at the University of Connecticut Health Center and has served as faculty at Harvard Medical School’s Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital, the facility responsible for the development of the majority of laser and cosmetic devices available today. He is the most well-published laser surgeon in the state of Connecticut and is referred difficult cases from other dermatologists and physicians.
Some of you may be wondering why you would want a dermatologist with advanced fellowship training to offer you laser therapies, rather than a non-physician or other type of physician. The answer is quite simple and lies in the advanced understanding of physics required to safely and effectively use a laser. We encourage you to watch the below video of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Professor Dr. Rox Anderson, the dermatologist responsible for the development of today’s laser technology. You will very quickly realize the tremendous amount of physics knowledge it takes to wield a laser effectively and safely. Are you really going to trust a laser in the hands of someone who has little to no understanding of the science it entails?
